Scientists Network

Members of the network come from a wide range of disciplines and vary in age and experience from recent Ph.D.s to emeriti, but most are enthusiastic readers of fiction who are interested in the ways in which science is perceived by the general public, as well as in new modes of interdisciplinary academic collaboration. Scientists may participate in one or more of the following capacities: 1) as individual readers of literature about science who participate in the FMS Book Clubs; 2) as commentators or discussants in public/academic presentations of a work of literature;  3) as consultants for novelists who are writing books that address some aspect of their fields of knowledge and 4) as consultants for or commentators on the FMS program’s sociological and literary research projects.
