Edward Schwarzschild

Edward Schwarzschild is a novelist, short story writer and associate professor of Fiction Writing, American Literature, and Film Studies at the State University of New York, Albany. He is the author of the collection of short stories, The Family Diamond (2007), and the novel Responsible Men (2005), which was a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of the Year, a BookSense Notable Pick, and a finalist for the Rome Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Samuel Goldberg and Sons Foundation Prize for Jewish Fiction. 

Edward Schwarzschild will be in residence at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg during summer 2016 and again in 2017. He is joined by his wife, the novelist Elisa Albert,  and their son, Miller.
