Susan M. Gaines

Susan M Gaines is the author of the novels ACCIDENTALS and CARBON DREAMS, as well as numerous stories and essays in literary magazines and anthologies. She holds degrees in organic chemistry and oceanography, and her non-fiction book Echoes of Life: What Fossil Molecules Reveal about Earth History combines literary prose and narrative in a scientific account of discoveries in the earth sciences. One of the founding directors of FMS, she currently serves as the FMS International Authors Liaison and facilitates the FMS writers in residence program for the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg.
