Dr. Jane Smiley

Jane Smiley is a novelist, essayist, and scholar, author of dozens of novels and works of non-fiction. Her novel A Thousand Acres won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and Private Life was chosen as one of the best books of 2010 by The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and The Washington Post. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
