Abstract
In an achronological and vibrant pattern, We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves deals with protagonist Rosemary’s loss (and rediscovery) of family – her scientist father, her depressed mother, her activist brother and most importantly, her sister Fern. Of the same age as Rosemary, Fern was taken away as a child, her true fate only revealed after several plot twists. Both girls were subject to an experiment with severe consequences which Rosemary can barely talk about out loud, even if they are related in her story. Told with little scientific detail and a lot of embellishment, their father’s attempt at scientific success ultimately leaves the family unit beyond repair. (FMS)
