Fiction Meets Science research projects span the humanities and social sciences, and are often linked to the work of participating writers and  scientists. Our first phase of projects (FMS I) ran from 2013 through 2017. These projects focused on identifying and exploring the implications of late twentieth and early twenty-first novels about science. In our second phase (FMS II), the projects continue and expand this exploration to include other forms of storytelling about science, paying particular attention to narratives that reflect the global dimensions and diverse regional contexts of science.
