Professor Norbert Schaffeld
Norbert Schaffeld studied English literature, history, and philosophy in Germany and
England. His interests include British literature, Shakespeare adaptations, Australian
and Canadian culture, film studies, the historical novel, and fictional representations
of the natural sciences and of history. He holds the Chair of English Literature at
the University of Bremen, where he is co-director of the Bremen Institute of Canada
and Québec Studies (BICQS).
