Professor Charles Johnson
Dr. Charles Johnson is a novelist, essayist, literary scholar, short-story-writer,
philosopher, screen-and-teleplay writer, cartoonist, and professor emeritus at the
University of Washington, Seattle. The author of twenty books, he is a 1998 MacArthur
fellow, the recipient of an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award for Literature,
and a 1990 National Book Award for his novel Middle Passage.
