Dr. Luz Maria Hernández

Luz María Hernández is an FMS research fellow at the University of Bremen. She holds a degree in visual communication from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi in Mexico, and a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Media Studies from Bielefeld University, where she recently completed her doctoral thesis on the repre- sentation of science in animated series for children. Her research interests include science depictions in popular culture, public perceptions of science, scientific com- munication, mass media genres, animation, comic, film, television series and publicity.
